One common complaint about the Whirlpool AP51030K is that it is a bit loud when placed on turbo or high setting. It is true that most consumers aren’t bothered by the noise since by comparison most purifiers are much louder.
I think this is a matter of individual preference. While most get used to the extremely low level noise, others can’t be bothered by ANY noise.
Nonetheless both camps would agree that this product does its job extremely well.
Another downside is that the LED lights are too bright. This is just a minor setback though. The majority of the customers that I have researched do not find it annoying.
The last complaint is that it looks too “industrial” for some of the users. I guess they are looking for something artsy to decorate their homes.
Anyhow, the look does not affect its function so many users still appreciate the “beauty” of this device.
I for one like the way it looks. I think air purifiers should look like “air purifiers” and not pieces of art; but that’s just me.
